Get some stickier tires on there, maybe some drag radials, increase the launch and lower your ET by 2-3 tenths, maybe even more.

What were your 60' times like?

Never managed any lower than a 1.8/1.9- 60' slowest was 2.1 back then though I had sachs clutch which broke on my last run and on the way out pirelli p zero tyres. Got myself a nice new puck stlye clutch and some nice Michelin pilot ss tyres now next time out I hope to see better

Hey Keith. At that point you're turning a daily driver into a half-assed drag car (and not a very good one)...and what's the point really? Much like pulling out the back seat or running race gas...I don't think drag radials really reflect 'the car'...they reflect 'a car that only works at the dragstrip'.

The age old 'these aren't drag cars' maxim is very true, however drag racing your all around awesome AWD 4 door sedan that allows you to go to work in it, rip through the canyons in it, and take your kids to school in it is a helluva fun thing. Dragging an Audi on race gas with no backseat and track-only drag radials is providing an irrelevant benchmark IMHO. Great for you and your car, but irrelevant for the rest of us as we tend to drive our cars with the seats in on pump gas and street tires. Further, we're often comparing our times to benchmarks laid down by automotive publications...and again they use fully stock cars.

I can't imagine being in my RS4 and pulling up beside a fast car on a highway in Mexico, then telling him 'let's go on the third honk....but only after we pull over, so I can take my seats out' (or drain my gas tank to fill up with 100 octane...or change my tires).

Apologies to all my American friends, but the spelling and grammar you use can be quite baffling to us Brits.

You might be right there!

I thought I'd try to inject some humo(u)r into this thread, but some seem to be taking it seriously so I think I'll give up :bigwave:

all in fun

no such thing as friendly fire, especially if you are on the recieving end
you Brits are too delicate...we like leaving a path of scorched earth ~1 mile wide :D

you think our 'english' is bad?
the average American can't compute gas mileage (mile/gal) if you give them the miles and gallons...can't balance a check (cheque ;) ) book
we've had presidents who can't find Iraq on a world map if it's not labeled! but can wage war on them

And that is why you guys collectively are £13 trillion in debt. Never mind, one year's US defence budget would wipe that slate clean, heaven forbid a year when the US couldn't 'liberate' another country for the sake of humanity! :biggrin3: :bigwave: (and get a large slice of rebuild and oil revenue as thanks...)

not to mention 90% of the wealth is held by 10% of the people (1% hold ~45%)...for some reason we think taxing a millionaire another 2-3% is bad for the economy
and healthcare is for only those who can afford it (costs $15k / year for a family), avg income is $48k...do the math :D

be liberated or die!!!!!!!!!!!!

oil companies know no allegiance...BP, Exxon, etc,, all the same
but enough politics...the lack there of is why I like this place
except for $%^ %#@%&&, ^&*($, ^^$$$# American bashing :jump:
