TechNick's Mauritius blue saloon

Post by TechNick » Sat Oct 29, 2011 3:01 pm

New thread started off the back of this one...

Selection of images to try and demonstrate how much the colour seems to vary under different conditions:

Best looking colour (when it's clean) IMO. Then again the best colour never seems to be the one you own.
B7 RS4 saloon Misano red, comfy seats, JHM tune & JHM full exhaust with cats and resonators - gone.
C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.
981 Cayman GTS Gray/Orange.

Never thought of that but so true... I bought a red audi as it looked great, until I owned one... sold it within a year and bought a Black one. My favourite colour car was a dark blue TT in 2002; so when I bought new 635d I ordered it in deep blue and its spot on. Dilemma is what colour next as need to change the wifes motor... I'm thinking Black or Silver.

Oh, and that Blue saloon above is simply MINT!

Note to self, must wax my car next weekend. 8)
Present:...
Lotus Evora GT410 Sport, Caterham 420R, CCM Spitfire, VW T2 Bay Window 1976

Past:
DB11 AMR, 992, 991.2, Yamaha MT01, 640d Gran Coupe, 635d Coupe, RS6 C5, Audi TT 225 Coupe, Astra with wind up windows, Citroen ZX, Rover 213, yes behold, a Rover 213... Renault 5

 Ha! Not of my doing, I can assure you - one of thoses things that seem to get added specifically to wind me up (but partially tolerated in order to maintain marital bliss... )
Replaced the dodgy kiddy blinds with tints, but obviously still have a bit of work to do :?

My mate's 3 year old daughter washed his car for him. Only instead of a sponge she used a rock

Very true! That said, it was actually a 2-partition bucket he was dipping that lambswool wash mitt (and nearly himself) in! ...and didn't venture beyond that one headlamp :D

If I ever attempt combining looking after the kids and cleaning the car again (unlikely!), I'll be sure to make sure all rocks/anoraks/wire wool/etc. are well out of the way!
