Up to the OP of course, but I don't see the problem with naming the dealership centre.
If they fix the issues hassle-free they end up looking a bit better in our eyes.
Of course if they don't........

The local dealer has called to say they have spoken with the dealer I bought the car from and they have indicated they would like the car back for repairs.
I've told the local dealer i'm not happy with this as they have missed all these things originally and have lost confidence in the their mechanics. I either want it fixed locally or I will return the car and have my money back under the 30 day return policy.

I await their response...

I would be the same but i can't see them paying another dealership to do the work when they have their own mechanics and facilities.

You could be on a sticky wicket legally, so it could be a hand back job, make sure you have a full list of all faults found, registration/chassis

number, written on official Audi letterhead signed by service manager and i can't see you having a problem.

Good luck

Truro Audi have been excellent, they have produced a full report and are liasing with the other dealer on my behalf. To be honest I think the other dealer may be on a sticky wicket legally as I have signed document from them claiming they have inspected the vehicle for defects and specifically suspension and exhaust system prior to sale (so obivously this is null and void).

I can't see it being a big problem, although the 30 day rejection may well be a credit with the dealer or something so getting it sorted by Truro Audi is definitley the way to go + am sure they will appreciate the work which will put you in good stead with them in the future.

The trouble with the rejection is that I suspect you may be correct that its a credit rather than refund. It's unlikely another RS4 is going to crop up at the same dealer and i'm not sure there's another Audi I would want.
Repair at my local dealer is the best outcome and most reasonable IMO.

The 30day exchange offer is an exchange for another vehicle not a cash refund. Legally they are obliged to fix the car as the faults would be considered as pre-existing, you need to give them 3 attempts to fix the faults satisfactorily, you can still reject the car upto 6 months after purchase. I would definitely complain to Audi UK about this as it is their approved scheme that is getting shown up (again).

You need to let them have the opportunity to fix the car but only accept the work after inspection by your local dealer, if not satisfactory them I think it is reasonable to expect the selling dealer to pay your local dealer to fix it.

Have a word with trading standards and see how you stand legally..........

Make an official complaint to Audi UK through your solicitor

I agree but the trouble is the distances involved (500 mile round trip and numerous days waiting for repair), also i'm not confident in the ability to repair the vehicle properly and I wouldn't be happy with some unknown person collecting my car and driving it like they stole it for 500 miles.
Also I have only owned the car for 10 days and haven't used it for most of these days, so the thought of it disapearing for another week is disappointing at best.

Update: I have been contacted by the aftersales manager who tried to sweet talk me into letting them repair the car - he even told me they were one of a few techinal excllence centres in the UK - I said his technitians must be blind and deaf and there's no way they are repairing the car and that I wanted it fixed at my local dealer or my money back!

Anyhoo after a wait they have just called to say they are issuing a full refund and will collect the car!!

Not sure what to get now though after this saga, kind of put me of an RS4 especially as you can't trust main dealers it appears!

Glad you got your money back, there are some decent ones out there or buy from a forum member.

Good luck with your search.
