DRC = Dynamic Ride Control.

Basically cross connected dampers, via a valve block.

When it's working properly it gives you softer suspension when going in a straight line for greater ride comfort, and harder suspension when cornering to give better control.

But the dampers are prone to leaking.

What else is different about the black optics pack?
The black optic pack consists of, Black grill surround, de-chromed window surround, the rear Chrome strip under boot lid colour coded to body and the exhaust tips in matt black.

Also note that there was the titanium pack too, this saw the wheels and wing mirrors painted in titanium grey (Dark metallic Grey).

Best of luck with the buy.

Brilliant thanks for all your advice - the upshot is that the car has bucket seats not Recaros, not sure if that is good or bad? Servicing is on a fixed schedule, i.e once a year so I'll have to stump up for the 6 monthly oil change, but I note that there are some good independants mentioned here - I'm in Kent and work in Surrey so if anyone can vouch for a good supplier who can handle the oil changes I reckon I'll be sorted.
Anyway I've put a deposit on it now prior to test driving on Saturday, so unless I really hate it when I see it (unlikely) I guess that's a done deal!

OK Mark if it has the buckets, it most likely has the Flat Bottom steering wheel, I have both of tee as I feel it is a great combo, some ppl on here prefare the Recaros for comfort due the ease of getting in and out. I love the buckets, only prob is, you are restricted to taking a certain kind of women out with you, i.e not a fat one ;)

Camberley Audi every time - especially if you work in Surrey. Many people here travel a lot further to get there.

RE: NEW CAR

Hi all - I got it YAY!!!!!!! loving it already, and , as the M20 was shut last night when I collected it I took a very long way home......how unfortunate!!!
To answer some pervious points that I raised, which may be of use to others;
Audi do indeed honour the 2 years servicing - all I had to do was sign to say I was happy for the car to be changed to fixed servicing and they'll do it no problem.
The car came with a year's Audi approved used warranty and I took the Inchcape extended warranty for a further 2 years for £750, which seems to be reasonable. I know others have mentioned this on here and I'm not sure if it's any good (claims experience is always the decider in how good extended warranties are) but I figure that one major component failing is likely to cost more than £750. I'd love to know anyone else's experience of this product.
If you get Audi finance they also chuck in retail protection insurance for free, so if the car is written off in 3 years you are gaurenteed an agreed value, irrespective of what your insurance company pay out.
I didn't haggle particulary hard for any of this (not really my style) but having never dealt with Audi before I was quite impressed with the 'mature' negotiation style!
Lastly another question for you guys; When I got the car home I checked the tyre pressures with a digital gauge, and in the door shut the sticker says 39psi front and 36psi rear. It had 30 all round, and had just had two new front tyres so am I being thick, or is the tyre fitter a monkey???
Once again thanks for all your advice and support - can't wait to get home tonight and go for a spin!

Tyre pressures depends on type/size of tyres and should be measured when tyres are cold - but 30 is way to low.

Hiya Mark, again congrats on the purchase, did you buy the car in Kent or are you from Kent (M20?) and yes 39/38 sounds good for the tyres, depending on hat you have. it seems most tyre fitters have a thing for 30-32 psi lol
