C link / ARB link upgrade question

Post by jc.. » Mon Jun 01, 2009 2:52 pm

I have turned myself blind trawling through the search function,
has anyone swapped the crappy plastic ARB "C" links for anything meatier?
I thought I read something about an S2 part that was metal. also looking for any alternatives to the Subaru Impreza rear link. Would prefer to go with something at least designed for my car.

They do look nice though with rose joints!

Yeah JC, got the metal RS2 items fitted last year at MRC when the PSS9's were fitted.
You'll need to contact Doug or Lucas at MRC for a part number.....

Cheers
Steve.

do they still have the poxy rubber bushes in them?
because I am thinking that it is not actually the c link itself that dies, its the bushes!
don't suppose you know how much they were do you?

I am seriously looking at some rose jointed ones from the US for $130 (thats less than £90 to my door)

Don't know enough about that I'm afraid, I went with Dougs judgement- suppose availability is a big issue, can't see too much of a problem from running a solid system at the back, bushes are obviously there to absorb some energy and make things a bit more comfortable, otherwise you'd probably think you were in a track car every time you took her out.... and there will still be wear issues with rose-jointed items I would assume.
Can't remember how much but certainly not as much as you are thinking of trousering up.

Regards
Steve
