This is a good one.......

Even following the link you provided to my own Gallery, I could view it but I was not logged in to the Gallery so it did not know it was mine.

Logging into Galrry failed. I requested a password reminder. I was then issued a new password (random). I used the new password to login to the gallery, worked fine. I logged out the gallery. I logged out the forum. Logged back into forum using old password. Went to the gallery, not logged in. Logged back into the Gallery using my OLD password just fine!

The only place you should login or logout is in the Main Menu on the left. A job for later is to remove all the other login/logout links.

As I say, by default I was not able to log in nor was I auto logged in. The clue to the fix must be in my makeshift solution somewhere.

I think the answer is that you are going straight to the gallery.... What happens if you logout of the site http://www.rs246.com/user.php?module=User&op=logout , log back in and go straight to the gallery http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=pnCPG.

A good suggestion I think. I was thinking about it and I think this must be down to an existing cookie or something, something cached with a flag of some sort that is incompatible in it's current state.

I suspect a log out and log into the forum would have work for me. Just a hunch.

Simon, I had this problem at first, which was put down to a bug with Firefox, and which has now been fixed.

Which internet browser are you using?

Now here's another one :-

When the new system first went up, the way in which previous posts were "quoted" changed (for the better IMHO), but now I notice that not only has it reverted to the old style but the text of the previous isn't actually included in the quote any more... :?

I think you have a cookie problem. Clear them and report back please.
