Had my ECU updated at my local Audi garage today.
My car was built in Feb 2007.
They said that two software upgrades had been carried out - Car feels v. smooth and the juddering when cold has completely gone - definately worth an hour out of my day to have it carried out - do it!

Did you get the proper software version which is used now?

I presume so - I presume I got the latest software - it was downloaded direct from Audi
