I regularly ingest vast quantities of red wine and vodka ... never injected it directly though  (i think this could lead to permanent brain torpor!)

I really love my car ... but I also really love my alcohol ... this is a tough one; I can't work out if it’s wasting it injecting it into the engine!!!

I also think he may be misled by his 201 MPH claim! Don't believe everything a computer tells you!! :p

My take on this? Petrol go in car - alcohol go in man. All is then good!

Agree I think saloon RS4 conversions look great and as for you Julian well what can we say - keep up the good work?
What’s this water/alcohol injection?

It’s a method for cooling the combustion chambers of engines by introducing water/alcohol mixture to the incoming fuel-air mixture. This allows for greater compression ratios and largely eliminating the problem of engine knocking due to detonation. Water/alcohol injection will effectively increases the octane rating of the fuel mixture, meaning that performance gains can be obtained when used in conjunction with a supercharger or turbocharger, altered spark ignition timing, and other modifications. Many water/alcohol injection systems use a mixture of water and alcohol (usually 50/50), partly because the alcohol is combustible, while water is not; in addition, the alcohol serves as an antifreeze for the water.

Methanol burns a lot cooler than petrol, hence why Indy cars run huge boost iro 50psi.

Used to run a grass track bike on Methanol and Castrol R what a smell !!

Im still setting up my Aquamist 1S injection system, will inject 50-50 Water and Methanol as a way to combat the crappy low octane fuel available here. All installed bar the Ignition switch signal!

Yep - they look superb: really aggressive looking - they definitely display that they mean business! I could never stretch to the full conversion - but definitely want the RS4 front bumper .....!

My liver and kidneys were screaming "Nooooooooo..." at that comment Paul ... but the brain says "Yesssss..." 8)

What bumper did you use on your car? Would the RS4 bumper fit on the back of a saloon?
