VAG-COM 607..
Anyone in Wiltshire got this and can run a test on my car to see if they can access Sat Nav? I have the older VAG-Com version and before I go and buy a newer copy, I wanted to check it worked on the functions that I cannot currently access.
Thanks,
Rob

Rob. Not quite Wiltshire but I work in Theale (J12 of the M4). If you are in that neck of the woods I'd be happy to help.

You can download the latest version from their website.

and it will work if you have a recent genuine ROSS-TECH lead...DavidT wrote:You can download the latest version from their website.

If Rob is running version 409 I would think he needs a newer ROSS-TECH lead or he's using a generic lead.

Yeah you need a Ross-Tech "HEX" lead to run later than v4.

Yep, I have the old "dumb" lead. I wanted to check the newer VAG-com version worked the sat-nav and other functions before splashing out...

607.3 and a HEX-COM+CAN lead lets me access all the controllers (including both engine ECUs [the RS4 has one per bank], RNS-E and phone) on my 2006 RS4.Tartan_Rob wrote:Yep, I have the old "dumb" lead. You can order HEX-COM+CAN which is for a serial port, or the more expensive HEX-USB+CAN which is for USB.DavidT wrote:Not sure, I think all the newer ones are USB Rob.Tartan_Rob wrote:HEX-COM+CAN is the serial port on the laptop right?
Or even the cheaper micro-CAN - but this is for CAN ONLY cars like the Golf V, 8P A3, 8J TT, etc.
Or if you don't want any CAN capability the KEY-COM for a serial port, or the more expensive KEY-USB for USB.
