Got my RS4 on Friday and all is groovy apart from a few small niggles I wanted to sort out today.
1) found out the front passenger parking sensor is dicky, not much issues apart from changing it. I was wondering if you can get to this via the wheel arch or fog light? Or bumper off job?
2) annoying bumper sag, tried to loosen off the bumper to jack it up and it seems both driver an passenger torx bits (slam panel) are seized ended up shearing one off... Looked at the other and it will not undo, it will "tighten" but just turns the jacking bolt underneath. (Anyone happen to have a parts catalogue to get P/no's for these or the bracket sub assy). Decided then to try the bumper jacks to push it up and one side worked a treat, other seems to be seized also, not wanting to shear that off also I thought best to give up. I then thought "headlight out" will allow enough access to get a pair of grips on it... Screw driver not long enough to get at the indicator bolt!! so now have half a sag!
3) I did however free up and lube the exhaust flaps and messed about with the air box flap, all move nice and freely now, now there is noticeable difference when button pressed.
Been a strange day... I don't like leaving stuff incomplete!! Its Like OCD.
Excuse the rant, basic easy mechanics and I'm stopped by a couple of torx bits lol!
