Quite often has me thinking is it better to get the car (RS4 B7) serviced by Audi for resale value (not selling anytime soon) or by independent specialist this is my dilemma my car is due for a service next month I have a mate who is a master tech at Audi in London he said he will service the car for at his work with receipts for the parts just no stamp. Is this really a issue as the cars are now falling into enthusiasts hands and people are not worried about stealer service history

Service at a dealership ( one you trust and have faith in).
Any other repairs use a indy.
If your car is within the Audi service intervals and is serviced by them then you may qualify for good will if anything goes wrong.
To bring cost down ask if you can supply own oil.

Audi that you can trust is the hardest thing by reading post on here, I trust my mate and he is into the Audis and VWs also not sure if its the same with Audi but a friend is a tech for Volvo and he said that along as you use genuine parts with them regardless who does the work the parts are still warrantied.
Here is my mates MK1

Your car only has about 12k miles on it doesn't it? Forget servicing, when are you slapping that supercharger you have lying around on?

Yep has 13k I think I was thinking more of the annual service instead of mileage, the insurance is up for renewal soon so anytime soon for the charger

Yep 2 years part warranty will apply. However you will stil not get good will on other parts/problems with the car. Im talking from experience. For the extra few quid you cant complain.

Only 13K? Stop posting here and put some more miles on it, you know it makes sense!

What service schedule are you on Phil?
Remember that brake fluid needs to be changed every 2 years regardless of oil change.

its either every 20k or 10k miles. If on long life your OK. I am on fixed (10k) but still have the oil service done at 5k intervals. However, since I have not tracked the car, im happy to have it done every 10k.

Phil stop being a tart and get the car in for its long overdue service, the poor thing is gagging for some new oil after that Ring trip
