Hi All
I am wanting to treat myself to a trolley jack, for the RS for no more than about £80,less if poss and i'm also after a
pressure washer.
I have always wanted a karcher but could never bring myself to shell out for one,i dont like wasting modding money lol.
I would probably spend up to £150 tops
Any recommendations will be great cheers
Jules

Wait until Jan and you'll pick up a Karcher in the sales, a decent one for £100-130. You ideally want tone with a water cooled rather than air cooled motor, usually a K series X. I'm only on to my secind Karcher in 6 years and I use mine every week to wash 3 cars.
As for trolley jack, Halfrauds do a 2 ton one for £40 IIRC and mine came with a sturdy GRP case as well.

I have the Halfruads Trolly Jack will sell it to you if you want for £20, I have a Sealey Trolly Jack that I use now, The sealy one is about £140.
This is the T Jack I went for
http://www.sealey.co.uk/PLPageBuilder.a ... results=16
This is the Halfords one
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_255207
The Halfords one was not low enough to go under my car on my drive (as its at on a slope) on flat ground its fine, im lowered 20mm however I dont think you will have problems with that

Thats great help thankyou guys
I will do exactly that Greame and wait for a water cooled one in the sales.
Do i need to buy a snow foam thing aswell ?
Is that just a differnent lance or an addition to the lance ?
Thanks also Sonny,if you were local i would have certainly taken you up on the offer.
I will pop and get one of those jacks tomorrow,as for the RS i think i should just sneak it under
But the passat is running pretty low so i hope it goes under that aswell.
I may have a look if they also do a lower entry one, height not price

That sealey one does look pretty trick though

Ive had one of these for years now, it's a funky piece of kit, and can get under
very low cars...
http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/produ ... olley-jack
.its also light enough to sling in the car if you're going to a show etc where you may need one. . .
Car looks great by the way Jules - lovin' the new seats

Iv heard bad reports about the Clarke jack, nuts coming lose and needing thread locked.i suppose it will be ok if you use it to change the odd wheel every now as again.
Jules, if the halfords one does or fit under you can remove the from when from the jack and the landing plate this helps to gain a few more millimetres

My garage is on a slope too but as I have 2 jacks I put the rear one slightly up first enough to slot the front one under and Bob's your Auntie.
As for foam lance Karcher do a variable foam rate control one (Grey bottle) which fits all K-series lances, approx. £15-20 from fleabay.

for a pressure washer i would go with one of these....I have one as a back up as well as one of the Poseidon models....very good machine.....
http://www.worldofpower.co.uk/nilfisk-a ... asher.html
for the jack go to costco if there is one near you and get an Arcan 2 tonne jack for £80...its low lift and lightweight with padded grip handle....as for the slope you can get a cross beam adaptor from about £50 from certain online retailers.....not sure who yet as i am searching for the best place and price for one of these myself....

Can't go wrong with a Nilfisk pressure washer... found mine to me much more reliable than the Karcher it replaced.

I'd get the '3 ton' Arcan jack (same brand as the Costco one) as they have a lower minimum height, a higher maximum height, and a wider footprint. Plenty on fleabay, usual price is about 90 notes delivered after they've been on offer at Costco for 80. Worth the extra.

Almost went for one of the Costco jacks myself, back in the summer. However, my local Costco (Watford), only had the 3 tonne jobs which I thought a bit overkill.
So went for the Halfords one in the hard plastic case... which is fine for my needs (2 tonne).
