I just wondered if anyone here is interested in signing this petition.
Since many of us are running gas guzzling monsters or have businesses which are being hit by the stupid level of taxes on fuel it certainly can't hurt to try to bring it to a parliamentary debate.
Dear FairFuelUK Supporter,
Getting MPs and Ministers to face up to the scandal of sky high petrol and diesel prices is vital if we are to get a better deal on pump prices.
We have only to get 17,500 more signatures on the FairFuelUK ePetition on the Governments new ePetition website.
This will take us to 100,000 which will trigger a vital debate in Parliament about the damage that high petrol and diesel prices are doing to families, businesses and the economy. If you haven’t had chance to sign this vital ePetition please do so now at http://www.bit.ly/FFUK-Gov We need to hit the 100,000 before the MPs go to their various Party conferences in 10 days time.
Please be aware that this ePetition is different to the ePetition you may have signed some months ago on the www.fairfueluk.com website. We hope that you will understand that this Government ePetition is on the Governments own website, so we have no way of monitoring who of the 200,000 FairFuelUK supporters has signed it and who has not. Therefore, you may be receiving this email even if you have already responded to our previous email and signed it at http://www.bit.ly/FFUK-Gov.
We feel we have to do all we can to draw this vital ePetition to the attention of our supporters, particularly when so many have been away on holiday. Securing this Parliamentary debate is vital. It will push the subject firmly back on the political and media agenda. So much has happened over the summer, riots and Libya just to name two, that there is a real danger of fuel prices falling from the politicians attention.
As our campaign intensifies, it would be very useful if you we could keep in touch with our supporters on Twitter. With that in mind, if you have a Twitter account, please could you follow us at www.twitter.com/fairfueluk .
Lastly, please spread word of what we are doing to family, friends and contacts by forwarding this email or by using the ‘Tell a Friend’ facility on the www.fairfueluk.com website. The more people we have behind us, the more we can achieve.
Your help is vital and is appreciated,
Kind regards,
The FairFuelUK Team

No I'm not expecting anything Earth shattering to happen but if we don't try we can't moan about it going up all the time.
