Silverstone, general advice - parking, arrival etc?

Hi,

After being lucky enough to watch the opening race of the F1 season in Melbourne I'm hooked so I've got tickets for Silverstone on Sunday 10th July, just general admin as all the seats were gone or stupid expensive.

I've booked my parking with Pole Position Parking who are very close.

I wondered what kind of traffic I can expect around the area, I know it's going to be bad but just how bad? Parking guy says people arrive from 7am?

Any general advice for an enjoyable day.

Looking forward to having a run out in the B7 RS4 too :-)

Thanks

Daz

Traffic is alot better than it was a few years ago (before the road system was enhanced). There are still significant queues but it does move okay - we spent no more than 30 mins in queues. IIRC we went round the arse end of the circuit (Stow?) which got us really close to the circuit (10 mins walk) with very little queueing.

agreed - much better now with the access to the a43. They shut down quite a few roads and make them access for silverstone only which helps things greatly.

As for parking... no idea. Helicopter in from bicester is the best way :)
