Remote key fob issues

My remote key fob seems to be getting more and more unreliable lately. I've already changed the battery, which seemed to make it better for a while, but now it won't unlock/lock more often than it will. The problem is always remedied by unlocking/locking with the key, and then the remote works fine.

Car is a C5 RS6

Any ideas?

P.S. I don't have a spare remote to try with it.

Sounds ike the dealer might need to look at it
