sounds sweet, but come clutch time it will be two clutches to replace.... i wonder who much that will set people back?
a single dual mass(whatever that is ) S3 MTM clutch is somewhere in the region of £700 notes IIRC, and thats cheaper than the audi option!
so id imagine DSG clutches to be more....

Audi didn't develop the DSG system - it is in fact licenced from Borg-Warner, who invented the dualtronic system which VAG uses in the R32 and TT. It is most probable that Porsche will licence the technology/product from Borg-Warner.

Not sure they'll need changing, or at least it'll be a case of changing the whole gearbox when and if they do
Automatic gearboxes have multiple clutches inside them as I understand it, and they don't seem to need changing.
Perhaps with a computer controlling the clutch it isn't subject to so much abuse and so lasts lots longer?

That`s what i thought, do auto gearboxes wear clutches? has anybody had there`s changed due to clutch wear?
Remember that auto boxes run within a controled condition, where a manual box has alot of abuse to cope with depending upon the driver???
