Van back on the road... back off the road, oil on the road!

So I got the van up and running again yesterday, did around 10 miles in it with a wash in between, but then................. oil warning light is flashing and beeping.

I knew the oil level was ok as i had checked that, anyway turns out it ticks over ok (although only did a 2 min test) but when you rev it, it pisses out of the oil pressure release valve. General tick over sounds ok, so wondering what it could be??? Engine in question is a 1.9SDI.

Hoping it’s just the fact that it’s been sat for 18 months and only been run once or twice and the oil is maybe thick and sludgy and maybe there’s a blockage, or slight one anyway?

Towed it to a mates place and he's back from France today and hopefully he'll find the cause out for me.

Will initially go down the route of oil an filter change and maybe a flush through as well.

Anyone have any working knowledge of the 1.9SDI lump?
