Great.
EVO magazine really liked it - did you see the comparison with a 360 Modena Spider? And with about 215 BHP/ton and weighing 930Kgs it must be fantastic on the track

The new Speedster 200hp Turbo is one of the cars I'm considering for purchase (as the Misano Red keeps playing ghost in french dealers).
Can you share thoughts -pro's & con's- about the test drive ?
Or is there some tests available online ?
Thanks,
Eric

Eric there is loads of info available here -

I quickly scanned through several threads but didn't find much info on potential mods on the Turbo (like everything documented on the RS4 from MTM, Milltek, AMD, etc.).
Probably because it's too new.
But as a general question, how good/complete is the after-market for Opel/Wauxhall : exhausts, suspensions, chips, etc. ?

Oh it's good! Vauxhall's extensive racing heritage means there's LOADS of parts out there if you want to tune it with reliable bits. They're also very reliable. I've only had experience of this engine in the Astra GSi, and it's VERY fast! To be honest, with the reduced weight of the VX, I'm not sure you'd want to modify it that much! Perhaps a nice stainless exhaust, minor turbo modifications etc., but nothing too drastic. Smaller turbocharged engines are also prone to extremely high fuel consumption under loads. Basically, if you tune the turbo much, it will DRINK fuel like you wouldn't believe. Just my thoughts...
Rock on

I'm thinking of buying a second hand NA VX220 - for the other half of course - just to see what feedback is! I found it a tight fit and i'm only 6'2.5" but I can't find anything that matches it for fun/£££ (and she is happy to use daily). She does think it slow - but that's just comparing a torquey Audi to it - it needs it nads rung out of it for it to feel fast.

Its still a little early for VXT mods (first customer deliveries only start next week) but there are a few tuning companies looking to get involved.
Because the VXT has been bred more for the track there is a lot of interest from driver training companies in then so we expect it to grow quite quickly.

Geee... you do sound thrilled by that car
And lucky you to have it for 3 weeks (how did you manage that ?).
Sounds like a decent exhaust is the mandatory upgrade to get. Chipping should come easy with the Turbo also...
I've called a dealer already, waiting for a quote and ETA.
Would you advise buying the hard-top, although it's fecking expensive EUR 2,000 option ?
