RE: Airport parking is it safe?
Guess it depends on how safe you think it will be at home.
I'd rather know that my car is in a carpark with 24 hour security (even if it's naff) and the keys are 100's of miles away with me than leave the car outside my empty house with the keys there.

Have used Purple Parking several times now without a problem at Heathrow.

Thanks, are these generally car parks where you leave your keys when you drop off? Not so sure about that! Otherwise I suppose it's fine, I presume they make the spaces bloody narrow!

I always use Pink Elephant but not sure you can get a bus to T5. You could bus to T1,2 or 3 and catch the tube tube to T5 though?

I use Eaton Air. They cost nothing, they appreciate the car, and they don't return your radio, move your seat around, move your mirrors around and dent your door for you.
Unlike Purple Parking.

I use T5 business parking, where you park the car up and take the keys with you (i ended up getting free short stay parking) I had no problems what so ever, there's loads of fancy cars there mate Bentley's, 911s and loads of RS4/6 so I would not be worries personally!
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
Re: RE: Airport parking is it safe?
Yep, that's where I'll park as well. I don't use any parking where you have to leave your keys, as I don't trust the buggers.SJ-RS4 wrote:I use T5 business parking, where you park the car up and take the keys with you (i ended up getting free short stay parking) I had no problems what so ever, there's loads of fancy cars there mate Bentley's, 911s and loads of RS4/6 so I would not be worries personally!
Many moons ago I had a 4.2 S8, and left it with the NCP at East Mids (booked it online thinking it was self-park), and when I got back the car had done 19 miles and had mud sprayed up the nearside to the roofline (so it hadn't been driven slowly by any means!). The small print says they can move your car "for operational reasons"...
Not if I don't leave it with them they can't!
Actually, I used the wife's allroad TDI a couple of times as I figured it would be less joyride-worthy than a W12/S8/RS 6, so when I change that out for an S5 I'm going ot be in a right quandry if I can't find self-park parking!
RE: Re: RE: Airport parking is it safe?
Not sure about other airports but I paid for premiere parking at east midlands in 2004 when i had an r32, cam back and all four wheels had gone.
RE: Re: RE: Airport parking is it safe?
Plumped for the T5 long stay, no problems and surprisingly easy. It was there when I got back too which was nice.
