Post by FlyRS6 » Mon Jun 16, 2008 9:45 pm

Friday on the way down M6 to London on the other side of the carriageway was non other than a BUGATTI VEYRON  I nearly crashed looking over my right shoulder to keep it in view

what an absoulte magnificent piece of engineering and design

Never thought in my wildest dreams that I would ever see one in the flesh at a motorshow etc never mind on the road

THRILLED

Awesome machines! Had a long hard look around one at Goodwood last year, pits were all but empty so had a good gander. I'll die an happy man anyway, but even happier if I ever drive one!

I see one every day, I live round the corner from Romans International and drive right past the window every day where one is on display. Also saw one at a petrol station on way back from Le Mans last year, reg plate BUG II. Also was one at Goodwood Supercar Sunday a few months ago

The Ferrari incident was a newly deliverered 599 I think which was for Paul J - the owner of Romans personal use. Something didn't feel right so he sent it to the service centre with a member of staff, about a mile from the dealership at traffic lights it went up in flames in a spectacular fashion, that was five mins walk from my house!

Believe it or not I saw one in a showroom on A40 just west of Gypsy Corner in September 2006 (Merc specialist I think) when I went with a friend to view his RS4 near Hyde Park.
Not seen one on the road though I did see a red F40 broken down on a German motorway and an F50 (weird in silver) a few days later at Spa for RMA day (saw an Enzo near MK a few years ago) so a full set - beat that V-Power!

Veyron or 10 R8s?
Sorry to be a bore but even my RS4 feels strangled in the UK and increasingly in Europe, Veyron must be hell!

When you are that wealthy, you don't care about speeding fines. You buy a small country and grant yourself diplomatic immunity. Gosh, you people think so small...
