Some help please!

I have an m reg audi80 2.0 16v with the ace engine in.
Its a non start and ime having a few probs trying to fix it.
When you start it it runs then cuts out streight away. Ive tryed another fuel metering head, checked the fuel pump relay etc. If you start it with easy start it will run on the easy start and you can keep the engine running with easy start so ime pretty certian its not a spark issue. Ive also put it on vas5051 and there are no faults stored!
Can anybody shed some light on the subject? The fuel pump is working but ime not sure weather ime getting enough pressure!

Immobiliser and key not matched? That allows the car to start and almost immediately die.

AFAIK an M reg Audi 80 doesn't have any sort of immobiliser from factory, unless it has an aftermarket item

It'll continue to run on easy start...I'm pretty sure that will combust under presuure (since it works in diesel engines). So it's got to be either fuel or ignition cutting out. Why not plug one of those spark plug thingies from Halfords onto one of the plug leads to see if it continues to spark while running on the easystart.
