Many of you will have heard about this 1976/7 film of a Ferrari tearing through Paris in the early hours. It was calculated that the car exceeded 130mph along the Champs Elysees...anyway...
You can get 2 DVD copies for the price of 1 from the makers at:
http://www.spiritlevelfilm.com/shop/cus ... hp?cat=248
Use a promo code of "2for1" to get the second copy free.

Wasn't it recorded from a Merc?

It was a gyro stabilised camera mounted on the Ferarri itself. Apparenly one of the first uses of a stabilised camera.

I remember seeing something about this on the London evening news...made a change from the usual stabbings and mayoral elections stuff!
I also thought it was a merc
This is possibly part of the mystery surrounding the whole film (all 9 minutes of it). It is definately a Ferrari at teh end of the film...no doubts about that.

Snow Patrol actually used a large part of the film as a video to one of their songs last year...but can't remember the title of the song.
