The Rover 216 GSi of Happy And Sad...

This is it, sat on my driveway. I'm sure some of you know what it is, and what it means - that mix of happy and sad. If you borrow it, take a photo of it parked at home, and post it...

(wow. suckiest photo ever).

Looks like I didn't have a spare complete set of rear bushes after all. It would appear to be a "next day" thing to get hold of.

*sigh*

I had a ride in it with Mihnea driving. Imagine that

Brought back memories, I had a 416 as a company car, a long time ago :)

Actually, I can't imagine it. It was my first trip to MRC today - I've never met Mihnea. All I've heard is rumours that he exists. Is Mihnea's real name Audi Soze?

I can't imagine it being driven all that fast with the gearing it's got. 3000 rpm in 4th is 40 mph. 3000 rpm in 5th is 60. It just runs out of gears!

Oh yeah, if you ever drive it - REMEMBER - THAT'S NOT 6TH! IT'S REVERSE!

127 flat out, smoked a hayabusa from the lights. he over took me to the lights but did not have the lightning reactions to win from a start, pushed him back behind me and laughed so much!!, great car. enjoy it flat out in every gear. no excuses! how fast can u really get it?

If I could reliably find the biting point, rather than thinking it's wher it is in my car, only to make an intimidating growl at the rest of the rtaffic as the lights go greeen... without actually going anywhere...

It's the car that DoungS2 has lent to me while my car is at MRC waiting on parts.
