Depressed

So I've got the insurance company on the case about the 'keyed' doors on my car from the other week (£1000 apparently !) and I get back to the car today.....the bastards have put the window in and nicked my VAG-Com cable (!), prescription sunglasses (£500 but useless to anyone else), digital tyre gauge and the mobile phone which I forgot, which is why they did it in the first place. All this in the station carpark in front of the CCTV cameras.

My wife was driven into by a van driver last week when stationary in her new shape Civic (£1500 damage) and she got a puncture last night (new tyre £102 from ATS !)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Bastards.

What Sh*t luck you and your wife are having.

Hope it all comes good for you

Might be worth keeping an eye out to see if your cable pops up for sale....

Sounds like my world , 6 weeks a go my 5 year old daughter got a second degree burn on the palm of her hand at wedding reception . 4 weeks a go my wife crashed her 56 plate Astra in to a car that pulled out in front of her ( not her fault ) but we had px the car so i had 5 days to paint and fit a new front end ...
Then on the way to work yesterday i had to do a emergancy stop to avoid hitting a bus on the wrong side of the road , i stopped but the vercta that was behind me didn't ..

At the beginning of this thread I had sympathy for Jeff - it quickly evaporated however when i saw his usual unwarranted acerbic stab at me.

Your choice Jeff: cut the crap and things are cool. OR: play the game and don't moan at the comeback.

Well, just to help the cheery mood of this thread it must come in 3's.
Most of you are probably aware from the sticky in this forum that my car was stolen last week.
The wife has recently been told by her company that while she has been on maternity leave she has been over paid and it will be taken out of the following months payments.
I did a rally yesterday (the Tempest Rally in Aldershot in case anyone saw the cars) and after a very tiring day and while probably leading our class, 5 miles from the end of the last stage the front off side hub sheared clean off and the wheel, tyre, disc, ap caliper etc bounced down the side of the car damaging the rear spoiler and denting the bodywork before disappearing into the unknown. An hours worth of looking in the forest on either side of the road found nothing.

Sorry to hear about your woes John - that's some <beep> luck you're having there. And in actual fact Jeff has my sympathy too - I can't stand these thieving bastards who have absolutely no regard for other peoples property. One can only hope that the day will come when the same thing happens to them.

There must be a reason why "bad luck" comes in waves like this? Last year I had an attempted break in (rear glass) followed by some numpty from Royal Mail reversing into the n/s/f bumper and taking out the intercooler....I'm still waiting for the third item!

Sorry to hear of both jeffw's and QJ's problems - they can be easily sorted.... the real woes start when you end up like Dr Al!

They do all that to nick a mobile phone which they'll probably sell for a tenner.

Yep,saw the threes myself last year...side swipe by a skip wagon, hit in a carpark and hit a deer...all in a few months...all very costly and lost me my no-claims bonus but, as paul says, a lot better off still than Dr Al.

Hi Adam...I had to read that twice as I thought it said 'hit a carpark' !

As has been said the real point is nobody was injured (although I hope the little scrot who did the window bleed a lot afterwards!)...
