Top Gear (Motoring)
Polar Special.
In Top Gear's most ambitious and arduous challenge to date Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond attempt to race from Northern Canada to the North Pole, 450 miles away. The terrain in between is some of the toughest on earth - a mix of mountainous land masses and jagged sea ice where temperatures can drop to a mind-numbing minus 65 degrees Celcius. Jeremy and James will be driving a specially adapted pick up truck whilst Richard will be travelling on something a little less high tech - a sled pulled by a team of ten Canadian Inuit Dogs.
says it's a repeat but i don't recall seeing this one before

bloody hell that was one of the best i've seen, the Hi-Lux truly is an all purpose vehicle, and the bumper pooper and Clarkson freezing the bolt onto his lips, classic.
i really felt for poor Hammond when he was recording his video diary, it seems it isn't all fun and games on a Top Gear challange

Fantastic, went in a Hilux "Super Jeep" in Iceland last March and they are truly awesome bits of kit... I must admit I was damn scared when we broke through the ice into a glacial river underneath... and that is nothing in comparison to what was on tonights programme... enough respect to those guys going to the pole, particularly hammond, what a legend!

Great program, but would have been nice to have actually seen the hamster arrive at the pole. Unless I nodded off and missed that bit.

No no no no no! You all seem to be missing the point. What's the point in going all the way to such a beautiful place, only to spend your time doing what you'd do in a British winter. Stuck in a car!
Nope. For me, Hammond had the better option. Bleedin' hard option. But a better one.
As for Clarkson - what an A1, Premier League, Top Notch PR1CK! I'm starting to think the same of May too.
Me and the wife were p1ssin ourselves when Clarkson got that bolt stuck. Preying on hands and knees that it wouldn't come loose. That would have shut him up at last
