Cheers MCB, I mispelt it firstly without the "r" then inadvertently deleted the "l" in the process.
I once saw a YouTube vid of the Pug 405 hillclimb special doing the Pikes Peak, the camera was mounted on the front bumper and it sounded awesome.

I don't think Walter will mind, seen that vid – awesome, although any vid of that event is a must see.

They were, just a shame the FIA did F all to control the development of them as they ended up being bloody dangerous. Lets not forget these guys were charging round in hybrid fuelled 5/600BHP rally cars with no bag tanks and crude fire extinguisher systems! Several of my mates were involved in the development of one or two of these cars and it was fairly clear to all it was only a matter of time before they would be banned.
In the end I was actually glad they got banned, we lost to many genius drivers - Henri Toivonen for one (and spectators) along that road.
However to see them run today at selected events is an awesome sight indeed.

RALLYDAY 2007 at CASTLE COMBE
Saturday 22nd September 2007
THE RALLY SHOW at CHATSWORTH
Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September 2007
Not exactly the same as an all-out rally but at least you get to see some rally exotica.
