I'm just picturing ye old burning bush saying "thou shalt not drive big or fast cars"... Oh and I'm imagining James Bond turing up at a Casino in a smart car and still pulling.

Chris Davies, what a d1ckhead. And Lib Dems wondered why they didn't get more votes.

How will he ban 90% of cars on the road today (that can do over 101mph)?

Very thought provoking.

Anyway - who is to say that the scientists haven't got it wrong? They've got it wrong so many times before.
Let us create our own list of things scientists have got wrong before:-

They'll listen...they'll enact the laws...The UK will adopt them and abide by them and everyone else will give the new laws two fingers.

classic example of Brussels legislation. as above, Europe make the rules and only the UK stick to them. as part of my job i've visited many European factories and generally find H&S standards way below what we insist on in the UK. invairiably, when i question their reasoning behind not implimenting guarding measures etc they usually say they don't need to guard to the standard because they employ people who know what they're doing. what utter bollox, they don't do it because they don't want to do it. in a lot of respects i often think maybe we should emulate them
