I've signed up to do the event this year, which runs from 1st-7th July. Are any other forum members doing it too? Can anyone suggest suitable sponsors, as I'd rather not stump up the whole fee myself and it would be a great advertising opportunity.

why dnt you charge forum members an amount to put there name on ya car..i'd gladly pay summit..

I did it in 2004 and 2005 with the TVR lots of fun but hard work. Keep an eye out for the police they will be looking for you. What car are you doing it in?

well, i've been writing to various companies to see if they want to sponsor the car, by placing their logos on it for a fee. this is in the hope i can reduce the £4500 outlay for doing the event. if i was to get a decent level of sponsorship then the idea was to rent a car rather than rack up the miles in my own. failing that i'll be doing it in my 2001 rs4 avant.

Good luck mate, I managed to get one person who only offered 200 quid for a logo on my Noble in the Gumball 3000 !!

Mind you, sales are not my forte!

If you have not done this kinda event before you are in for a treat! You'll have an amazing time!
