So much for my quiet Sunday

A few years back one of the lads at work told me he'd spent 2 days flushing the power steering system on his daughters Renault Clio because his wife and daughter, jointly, had managed to fill the reservoir up with screenwash.

Had a good chuckle over that one then this morning the neighbour knocked on my door, bugger me if his wife hadn't done the same thing. we've spent 6 hours flushing the system through to try to remove all the emulsified oil. just wondered if any other Clio owners had done this by mistake.

i can see how she's done it, washer bottle is behind the power steering reservoir but it blends in to the scuttle cover since it's all black, i'm guessing there's 'undreds of Clio owners done this in the past. he's just been round with a bottle of brandy for me which is extremely nice.

I wonder how much service work Renault have had out of this design flaw?

Where I used to work a woman complained bitterly about the poor design of her car because it took her an hour to pour a litre of oil in. You've already guessed it....down the dipstick tube.
