Right you are on your hot lap and you have the wick turned up - from failing memory 1000BHP - 750Kg - 250MPH. As you exit Tertre Rouge you floor it (just imagine) and you are on the Mulsanne straight pedal to the metal for approx 6 miles! What a f*****g ride that must of been, lucky sods!

I think that's a 956 and from memory, its Derek Bell from the 'in-Car 956' video. Awesome stuff, especially the north loop and silverstone.

Not so sure, Bell wearing red gloves in that vid and the car had the obligatory blue Porsche screen visor, however could be a 956 although I thought the dash was different?

The car in the vid is turbocharged. Here is some 917 info:

Your right mate, early 917's such as the one in the vid were NA so 956 is probably on the money, not a Rothmans car though.
The 917 became turbo later on in Can-Am guise.

Porsche's sportscar racing heritage is wonderful.

Looking at the other cars in the Video and the look of the front wings it does appear that it is too late for it to be a 917K....more likely to be a 956 as already stated. It's not the footage from In-Car 956 though
