Think you will struggle mate... wiht an S4 @ stage two best you can hope for is mid 13's - maybe getting lower than that if it all comes together perfectly and you are brutal with the car. Both of those cars will probably shut you up sadly

I had the car mapped at autoPS (Geoff Everitt map) fitted with ASP manifolds/catback and downpipes, KK04 hybrids, efi head gaskets rs4 clutch/ intake/injectors bosch supersport fuel pump H&R suspension and arbs. blah blah blah hit 400bhp and 400ib on rolling road, on the real road will be a bit more. The journey back was fun, mate in the rs6 droped me off. The cars where pretty similar, he kept catching me on gear changes then I'd get away again. I've since had a bit of a thrash with my mate in the 996, its close but i have the edge, can't wait to see the difference over 130
will change my signature

Does Geoff Everitt work at APS (not heard his name) or what otherwise is his background? Just the way you say it makes me think there is something I should know!!?

Geoff everitt was the guy who started AMD with another partner, he also had Milford Microsystems (K-stars for MK1 golfs etc)and is very highly regarded in the VW/Audi world, he still does on the side maps for AutoPS from canada, speaking with AutoSpeedPerformance (across the pond) he has also helped with the mapping sw they do.

Intersting stuff. I am impressed by the setup and service at APS, but if their best tuning resource is overseas, I guess they don't offer a csutom map service? How does that work with such a highly modified car?

Interesting one mate... sounds like a rock solid setup you have there! Where are APS based - what are their links to ASP like? I did consider doing the GT25RS setup on my S4.

Geoff does consulting for them, they map the car on the road and send data logged figures back for checking if they get really stuck a guy comes in from Milford Microsystems.
The have a high level of knowledge and use the big fella as a consultant for "different cases" as my was
They have no links with ASP, though where once considering selling ASP bits in the UK. Only link is geoff I think.
I'd already bought my turbo's when the GT25 kit came out
its a pain dealing with AutoSpeed Performance but they do quality stuff

If it's the same ASP, I remembered DS Automotives in Aylesbury say they are official importers for them when I saw their twin turbo 350Z drive past this morning with the logo on the side......
If it's just sourcing of parts it might be worth a call to them to see how good their relationship is.

Graham - Geoff supplies the code for APS, ie it's his map that is on my car - And he's very well known in the business. He's semi retired I believe, lives abroad now I think. Have always been a little confused with this "custom" term. My interepretation is that Geoff writes the initial code, then it is tweaked to suit an individual car? Shoot me down if I'm wrong.

Thanks for that Bob. Good to know. I view "custom" as a map that starts off as ~95% of the end map, but is tweaked once applied to your car, with it driven on the road to give you the final few percent and the best job possible rather than pretend every single car is the same. No shooting here.
