I've just put a tank of V Power fuel in and paid a mere 95.9p per litre!

Thats 10p per litre better than 2 weeks ago! Is this the same around the country or is my local Shell garage doing a promotion?

Don't know the results of the fuel yet, but will do over the next few days.

Ouch that is cheap. I did notice the price drop, but I assumed it was an introductory price to boost interest. I think fuel prices have come down the last few weeks?

Fuel really has taken a sudden dop, having crept up to over a pound a litre. Only paid 91. something for Tesco 99 this week.

Is anyone finding a noticable difference in power?

I dont think anyone will see an improvement. maybe if the ECU was reset you may run a few extra degrees timing if your MAP is setup to advance past the limit of normal fuel - which most wont. The only way to see a gain would be by resetting the ECU & having someone remap it to get an extra few degrees out of the timing if possible... that could release a few extra ponys :)

V-Power is the Shell fuel to replace Optimax - both 99Ron.

The Shell blurb "sells" it as better for your engine than Optimax because of blah blah blah blah.Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Which basically means they seem to have re-launched the product with a new name and charge a penny per litre more. Or am I being extremely cycnical here?

My RS4 is running better on it - I did some logs after 2 tanks and my airflow has increased by 10 g/s higher up the rpm range. I know this is all subjective, could be put down to ambient temps, etc... but the pickup seems slightly better.

Nige, i would second that as i noticed quite a difference also in my car. Given up using it now though untill i get the engine sorted....cam chain tensioner has started to fail on one of the banks which has ment a light right foot!!!

Just coming back to this now...

Have put my third tank in now and I won't go back to anything else. Definite improvement. Better pick up, more responsive, smoother and better mpg...

Big smiles!
