Insurance policy question

If someone can help with this I'd appreciate it.
Just bought a runabout for a couple of grand, and want to put our nanny on the policy for a few months until she leaves.
My insurer won't do it, as she's only 20. Tried Admiral out of interest and got quoted more than the price of the car. That's for me, my wife and the nanny. I obviously didn't realise that I can't use my no claims against the "new" car. Are there any clever ways round this? Perhaps she is the registered keeper and just changes her current policy from her existing car (about to be scrapped) and adds me and the missus as named drivers? Then waht happends when she leaves?
Hey ho, I thought this was going to be nice and simple.
Thanks chaps
