I was away on holiday for the last one, and am away again for two weeks at the weekend. Great timing

I'll have to fill up with cheaper French petrol on the way back from Nurburg on Tuesday then.

I find this comment a little strange and illogical. I hope that Strutt has been misquoted, otherwise I am very dubious of the intelligence of these 'green' campaigners!
Campaigner Mark Strutt said: "Oil causes climate change and we import much of it from unstable regions. It's an inevitable fact of life that the price is going to rise."

I think the quote from the Treasury shows even more incompetence and/or deceit:
More than half the fuel used in the UK bears little or no fuel duty at all... so seeking to address the problem of high oil prices through road fuel duty alone would do nothing for the majority of consumers.
Obviously those consumers are not the ones complaining then you moron! Why not use some f***ing grey matter then and be fair on all consumers. If the majority pay 0% duty and we motorists, the minority pay 75%, then isn't is somewhat UNFAIR?
