Where's the back up though? When I see it, I'll believe it.

They have v-power in Ireland but it is only 98 ron, and cost a few cents more then ordinary unleaded. Was also in a garage local to me the other day and spyed a Four Star pump in the corner of the yard. When asked, they said, it is orignal four star not LRP so my Quattro can again run on what it was designed to run on 23 years ago. :jump:

We looked into the V-Power on sale in the South Simon, for our market its 95 octane with some additives (a la Shell pura) I presume it is actually 98 octane up north.

I'll have to stick with the current 95ron/Broquet/Millers cocktail for the time being.. 8)

Strange, bought V-power in Mullingar the other week and it said 97 on the pump, usual cowboys at their work then
In the north, shell stations sell something labeled Super unleaded which is 97 ron, but they dont call it either optimax or V-power, even stranger
Mind you BP in the north dont call their super unleaded Energy Plus either

Got screwed 3 times now with fake optimax in South West Wales (Pembrokeshire), I know it because I have mapped my car to <beep> 3 degrees tops on proper Optimax bought in Somerset, and the stuff I bought here in Wales as Optimax makes my ECU <beep> 8-9 degrees most of the time... performance is not that much worse with it though, it just seems that knock-resistance is much worse with this stuff...

Hopefully the V-Power will be true 100 RON, then it would be really cool!!!
