Hundreds of brand new Audi's and BMW's were flooded on January 10, 2005 after a severe storm at the Sompassari port in Helsinki. These cars had just been imported and were awaiting delivery to dealerships in Finland. Millions worth of damage.

No offence meant Gav, but I reckon this could be a photoshop job? I hope so, such a waste of good cars if not.

It's not I'm afraid. There's loads of these pics from different angles. They were doing the rounds a few months ago.

The bonnet is probably open to allow connection of an external 12v power supply. As it's fresh water, I'd assume that the cars will find their way into the market...

All cars which have been imported by ship have their bonnets undone so that any fires can be put out quickly without spreading to others.
