Castrol SLX source and spec?

[Apologies for double posting]

The old girl [RS4] has done 6000 miles with me now and may need a drop of oil soon. Not having much luck searching for some online and I doubt petrol stations and Halfrauds will have Castrol SLX/ Other than stealers, any ideas where's best to get some guys?

Also (and confusingly) I believe that I have to use Castrol Formula SLX on my extended service intervals setup and NOT the seemingly better sounding SLX II longlife oil?

Thanks a lot if anyone can point me in the right direction!

You can use Mobil 1 503.01 which is £28 for 4 litres on offer in Halfords at the mo. Formula SLX is about 11-12 a litre at main stealers (who will sell you Mobil 1 too)

S3 and RS use the same spec oil you see

SLx II is the wrong oil for your car - you need 503.01

Thanks Dunc (& nice to meet you yesterday). Guess that's why I cant find any stockists - the stealers hog it!

Prob not the best idea to mix Mobil 1 & SLX so looks like I have an oil change jobbie this afternoon to do with 6000 miles left till service is due :(- if even Halfrauds can beat stealer prices, just imagine the price fixing that's going on :audibash: Effectively a free oil change for her it is then...
