... but the rear end looks a good deal better than the current saloon! Also, it looks as though they've done away with voltmeter and oil temp gauges.

Looks a bit like a 5 series without the "flame surfacing" from some angles.
Will need to see it in the fless, some colours/models don't do it justice, bit like a non-SE jasper green current model

Cheers

imagine that nose tankin bhind you on the motorway at 100mph?i for one would move out of the way pretty sharpish, especially if it was nighttime, the car was black and had xenon headlights.

Black with Xenons and that nose, surely it must be a Phaeton

I don't really dislike the new grille, but Ican't help but think that if it had a traditional Audi two grille layout even with the new rounder nose shape, it would look better.

Perhaps it will grow on me - I'm down for a W12 test drive as soon as one's available, that has the new grille as well so perhaps that might provide reason enough to accept the new look?

Autocar today says that engine options are V10 detuned gallardo engine or a 4.2 V8 FSI with "TWIN TURBOS"
looks promising for us then

Sport Auto says that Audi underlines their way away from turbos with the 3.2 V6 DSG.
