Who fills their car to the brim with fuel???
I've never understood why people do this unless u have to travel long distances and can't be arsed filling up too often.
If u fill the tank to the brim u carry and extra 30 or so kilos than if u were running on a half tank. This gives u less performance less economy and poorer handling and braking. Trust me, 30 kilos makes a difference.
I rarely fill above half way but never run it on fumes either. Ok i have to fill up every few days but i reckon it's worth it.

Fair play to you.
Personally, I could not be bothered with that. I fill mine to the brim and seem to be back again all too soon.

Respect.
Still, fear not, it will all be here waiting for you on your return
Re: Who fills their car to the brim with fuel???
I always fill to the brim....couldn't be bothered to fill up half a tank every 150 miles...I have to do that on my bike, but that's not too bad as it's a good chance to stretch the legs and recover from the adrenaline!
Do you take the spare wheel out to get that extra 0.1 of a second too ?

Always to the brim. I have to fill up every 3 or 4 days anyway and really wouldn't want to make it every 1 or 2.

So Paul are you just going to the gym to spectate or actually take part in some activity ( he says about to slouch into the armchair for the evening !)
Oh and fill it up every time, filling station is out of my way so why keep going there - yes the 40+ kilos would make a difference but so would weight saving measures

Passengers? Shopping? May as well buy a Scenic and be done with it.
I wouldn't go to the gym if i were u. May increase your muscle size and hence weight and therefore slow the performance of your car down.

Always brim it! I hardly think that the weight of the fuel is that significant in the RS6, even with 82 litres of it! I suppose that it's worth mentioning that I rarely use the RS for local journeys, and one never knows where to find the next Optimax fix.

Comes with owning a performance car doesn't it!! If I didn't fill to the brim, I'd be at the petrol station twice a day!!
Trackdays of course is a different matter - But if I remember correctly, I think the RS may handle better with about two thirds of a tank.

Re: Who fills their car to the brim with fuel???
Exactly, 80-odd kilos of fuel doesn't matter so much when added to almost 2000 kilos of rocketbarge. Plus which, with 250 to 300 miles on a tank, half filling would add another 20 minutes of standing about on the Shell forecourt getting wet to my week. Sod that!Always brim it! I hardly think that the weight of the fuel is that significant in the RS6, even with 82 litres of it! 2000 kilos? Christ, and i thought my S4 was a lard bucket. That's one heavy car. I agree with u totally on a car weighing that much, but on an S4 it makes a difference trust me. Plus I don't do too much mileage anyway, so regular fill-ups aren't a problem.
