4 weeks to go!

Post by johneroberts » Wed Feb 04, 2004 11:23 am

What should i do?
Sell it and make a quick 6-7K
or run it in and sell it for a 4K profit
Or keep it and pay £600 for the next 3 years?

Profit is always good ...

But if I was in that position, I would need to drive it and loose the 2/3k ... then, I recon I would want to keep it

So, if you think you will get the use out of it, keep it!!

Saw one last night in Hemel old town. It looked stunning in yellow.
I reckon you should pay for it and let me run it in for you

Very nice looking car.

Well if you run it in, I'm sure you'll enjoy it too much to sell it on. So keep it and enjoy it for now.

Have fun.

John, Is there still a premium on GT3s as I understood that there were a few floating around the dealers and that the demand had lessened especially with the RS now out. Recommend you give it a go provided you can keep the RS4 as well!!!

John H is right about the market for GT3's. There is no premium to be had now unless you get lucky and get a punter who doesn't realise you can get them for list or less now...

Saw 2 on the Autorader site recently for under list price

p.s. I was offered a cancelled GT3 order at the time I was taking the CSL and they were talking discount even then...

John
Unless you really want it let it go especially if someone is offering you a premium. There's a few about, mainly ordered by speculators and they are commanding under list in the trade - I was offered a brand new one in yellow with a nice spec (UK car) for 73k (before haggling) just last week - have to say I was very tempted though - a great car!

Right some of you guys are obviously better informed than myself
Firstly list price on the GT3 with Clubsport options is £78K ish... they will not knock a penny off it.
I have paid £1500 deposit, so you reckon i could get one for less than list £73K ish?
Well theres a to sides to the story, im looking in the times and on there website and similar specced cars are fetching £82-3 grand with 900 miles on them?
And i have been to for a UK supplied car there fetching 6-7K over list with delivery milage
Either way my deal dont look that sweet if you say this is true, mind you yellow dont count cause i anit drivin a yellow car
