Guys, I always drive with ESP on but should I be doing my spirited off the mark runs to 62mph with it OFF? I heard it robs power??
Is the lack of power quite dramatic with it on as apposed to it off? I've not had a chance to test it...
I just watched JGG's chipped S3 (same power as mine roughly) do a 0-100 run and was amazed how quick that needle went up

I asked this in the Tuning section. Please refer to 'The Launch' thread.
I think the video your referring to looks so impressive because its in kph's ! Don't get me wrong, its still way quicker than mine.

ESP should be off if you want max power for a fast start.

You could also try turning off the air con unit as this is a big power drain on the system. It says in the manual somewhere that the car may automatically switch the aircon off when full acceleration is required, never had it happen to me though.

On the 225 TT I believe it takes about 6bhp. When at full throttle is doesn't stop the air being pushed through the vents but it does stop the compressor.
