Quote from BBC sport report today:
Former world rally champion Miki Biasion was forced to pull out on Tuesday because his car was irreparable.

The Italian Mitsubishi driver had been lying in seventh overall prior to the sixth stage but disaster struck at the 240km mark when he lost three of his wheels.

His mechanics could not make the car roadworthy in time for the start of Wednesday's seventh stage.

I wonder how he lost those. I've looked at the photo's and they are like Range Rover size and then some Maybe he was swapping them front to rear to even out the wear and a nomad nicked them ?

Jutta Kleinschmit said he was travelling far too fast for the surface and conditions, I don't think he rolled it , just ripped them off
In case any of you do not realise this is in Paris-Dakar, real rallying not this poncey WRC stuff where a special stage is 12kilometers and they rebuild the car
Yesterday's stage was 700 kilometers with a 300 kilometer liasion to get to the start!
It's the only motorsport my wife has/will ever watch.
Some of the scenery is great as well>
