BP 100 RON fuel

Have heard that BP have released 100 RON fuel in the south, does anybody know any more?
The difference from 96 to 98 is good, so the same jump again will be amazing!
Also, I have a 265bhp Optimax mode on a APR Racing chip. Rang the bloke who fitted it(a bit on a bell) about using Optimax and STP Octane booster, he said not a good idea. But surely, too much octane is better than not enough and won't hurt it ???? [img]images/graemlins/nodder.gif[/img]

Well im running Optimax and millers octane booster and have not noticed any negative effects.

Heard nothing about BP fuel then?
Where did you get that millers from? Is it better than STP? How much?

Yes ive not heard anything about this new 100RON BP fuel, i got a box of ten when we had the RS246.com groupbuy awhile ago.... will need somemore soon.
Its easy to use and its worth it i think.

I'd ask the APR guy to clarify why he says octane booster and optimax is 'not good' - I dont think that is right

Found this from an irritating search on BP's site. BP Ultimate is only 98 in Oz/NZ but 100 in Greece. Nothing about the UK found yet.

I have read on other motoring sites that its not true about the BP 100 ron fuel coming to the UK

So have I. It looks like it's an Optimax rival at 98 octane and some people claim it was out yesterday and they've used it already. Apparently the petrol stations have advertising for it aswell. Either way BP Ultimate 98 or 100 RON is good.
98 will mean that I don't have to detour to Shell every time as BP is on my way to work, and it will hopfully give Shell a kick in the arse to get V Power 100 out in the UK.

98 would be good enough as there is a BP garage about one minute drive from my house, whereas going to get Optimax always involves a pain in the butt trip...

ditto, less than a mile round trip for BP best part of 6 miles for optimax -- the Bagshot road ( Bracknell)site is currently closed for refurbishment
