Aaaargh.

Post by RacingTeatray » Mon Sep 22, 2003 11:53 am

Some lowlife neighbour has screwed a bloody great wood-screw into one of my NEW front tyres.

If I ever find out who it was....

So uncalled for.

Should be repairable as it's in the tread right?

As long as it's fairly near to the middle of the tread they should be able to put a plug in it.

Some people just don't give a

Ah I see. It's in the inner of the three main grooves running through the tread so hopefully that's ok - new Dunlops are rather dear.

I'd made the mistake of parking with the front wheels turned in to the kerb with the tread exposed so was greeted by the lovely sight of the screw when came back to the car.

Given that the head wasn't scarred there was no way it could have got there by me running over it.

Spitting with rage.

No - can't think of anyone who I've annoyed or who is openly jealous - there are nicer cars on my street than mine. I also have an immaculate Mk2 16v Golf and that has never been touched.

Could have been a random animal rights type I suppose as have a countryside alliance sticker in the rear window. They are real pillocks and after all what's sticking a nail in a tyre to the sort of person who sends letter bombs?

Vengeful of what??!!

I've never even run one over!

I just happen to be a country boy who's come to the big city to seek fortune!

I think it was just a puncture! I had a screw in my tyre once too. It was also bent.

A gay nail?

This one is unmarked hence the belief that I can't have run it over otherwise it would have been twisted and scratched.
