Dave,

I just noticed you've sold the RS6. How come? You were always raving about getting it!

didn't see him

but his car was parked in Southwark Street, London about 5.30pm this evening, as I walked passed.

Spotted a mile off with the wheels & AmD stickers.

A long story mate, but it involved buying a new business, reducing my tax burden etc. I was also so busy at work plus the fact that the wife bought a people carrier and it just ended up sitting in the garage.

So i decided to get something smaller to blat around in at the weekends.. gone with a V6 TT, but quite fancy a 350T TVR now.. but we'll see..
Cheers
Dave

Heard one take off from Aston Green Slough this am, loooovely sound and then the DSG box changed up,the engine note just dropped instantly and carried on back up the rev range.

I dropped into the local dealers last Friday and asked if there was a chance of a drive in the new TT. They had just received a delivery of new demo vechiles and I was handed the keys to a brand new car to take for a spin (87 miles on the clock). Thank you very much, I'll see you in a half an hour or three. Had a play with the paddles on the column and the changer on the main gate but it all got a bit confusing remebering which way was up and down the box. I'm sure with a little more time it would become instinctive. The remainder of the drive I left it in the fully automatic 'drive' or 'sport' mode. I like the way it changes up a gear mid corner, there is no break in accleration yet all your other senses tell you that it has gone up a cog - nice! You would never fluff a quick start from the lights either, I should image that repetetive 0-60/ 0-100 times for this car are very close each time. Long term ownership of this car though I'm not so sure about, you would become a very lazy driver (operating the clutch is the only work out my left leg gets) and I enjoy having every limb doing something towards driving a car. Theres something telling me though that an rs4 with one of these dsg type boxes would be awesome.

Vinny.

Just finishing a job in Borough High Street, hand over and a few snagging items always drag on, didnt get away until 8.30
