How many cylinders do you need?!

Post by runrowsam » Sun Aug 24, 2003 11:43 am

I've heard this morning, down the grapevine, that some chap thought it would be a good idea to pretty much weld two BMW 5.4 litre V12's together. A 10.8 litre V24! Great stuff! From what I've heard he's some insane German down in Bavaria (figures), who really knows what he's doing. Think he's managed to get about 900hp out of it quite easily. Great stuff. Anyone else know anything about this? Or is the record still 16 cylinders? Surely you must get into stress issues with crankshafts after a while?!

Rock on
