A Radical SR3 Turbo smashed the current Nurburgring production car lap record by a massive 13 secs down to 7mins 19secs off the previous record set by a 911 based Gemballa GTR600.

The SR3 Turbo has a 1500cc Hyabusa based 4 cyl engine boosted by a turbo to 320bhp and 213lbs. The kerb weight is a little over 500Kgs which gives it a power to weight ratio of 600bhp per ton

It was fitted with road legal Dunlop Formula R tyres which help generate over 2g on some of the corners.

A limited run of 25 SR3 Turbos is planned costing £48,175.

Does prove that you dont have to have the most powerful car to be the fastest.

I tell you what, I would prefer to go a little slower in the Porsche knowing that if I came off I would probably survive. In the Radical you have NO CHANCE.
