Millers - is it really as good as they say ?
Re: Millers - is it really as good as they say ?
well I hope it is 2 and not 0.2 RON otherwise we are all being conned. Have been putting it in since I bought the car on recommendation of previous owner so not sure what the difference is. Anybody on here who has run their RS4 without Millers and now uses it care to comment?

I read the scoobynet thread and followed the links to both the NF site and Millers (and scoobymania). It clearly states on the millers site that it raises 97 octane to around 99 octance Furthermore, the Scoobymania site has stopped selling it due to
I think I'll stick with Millers - I can definately feel the difference + thanks to JR it's as cheap as chips.
We were also unimpressed with the RON & MON figures achieved during testing as they are achievable with UK sourced products already

Re: Millers - is it really as good as they say ?
I stopped using Millers for a few months this year and then have been using it again for a couple of months. I can't be sure if it gives a power advantage, but it definitely makes the engine run smoother, which is what I'd expect as the higher octane fuel burns a bit slower.
At the present cost from JR/Bushy, IMO it is definitely worth using (but maybe only for a chipped car).

Re: Millers - is it really as good as they say ?
I have used Optimax with and without Millers. There is definitely an improvement on Engine smoothness etc. But if the increase is 0.2 and not 2 RON then I certainly feel that we, as customers, may be mislead as to the real performance of Millers. But I still feel that you do get a genuine performance gain by using it.

What they are talking about on Scoobynet is .
Where is the proof that it only gives an extra 0.2RON and not 2RON? When they show that to me I will believe it, until then I will follow what the manufacturer has provided here .
