On my last couple of fill ups I have used shell V Power (which I believe is known as Optimax in the UK - I'm in Germany). Whether I'm imagining or not my fuel consumption has definitely improved.
Am I deluding myself or is it proven to make a difference?
Shell - "V Power 100" - worth the money?
Re: Shell - "V Power 100" - worth the money?
Shell say it works, can't imagine they'd be able to say that if it didn't so something...
In my experience, fuel economy is slightly better with Optimax, not by as high a percentage as Optimax costs over regular 95-RON unleaded, but noticable.
The RS 6 runs only on Optimax, the user manual states that 95-RON fuel can cause damage to the engine if "full throttle" or "high engine speeds" are used.

Yes, it works pretty good! I've tried it and I am surprised!
Just the price...! But if you love your car give it that stuff!

I have always used 98 RON unleaded in any event - I guess the difference between V-Power and that will be less significant.
