Anyone been watching Top Gear's - Greatest car of all time?
If so, you'll have seen the Audi Quattro is one of the top ten.
You can vote for your favourite by telephone (Audi Quattro - 09001 99 00 07) or via the Top Gear website at -

But you could be talking about a 300bhp Sport Quattro or ever a 600bhp S1 Rally Quattro.
It's got my vote!

In the absence of the Mini (the real one) Cooper S, I will have to go for the Fiat 500 (preferably Abarth)
In its day, the Cooper S saw off everything, especially on a wet country road. 4 Monte wins in a row prove it

F1 for me also. But if the McLaren was not in there I would have certainly picked the Quattro.

Mmmm, my vote would've gone to the Porsche 959, yet it doesn't even appear in the list ? Why, cos it was the worlds first everyday supercar !

Hi,
For me, the greatest car has to be something that Jo public can afford to drive. For that reason the Mclaren F1 is out of the picture as it's well outside the realms of the average man and even your average millionaire.
The quattro brought so much to motoring that can still be seen today, even though technology has moved on. It's influence has affected motorsport as well as your every day drive. I'm not sure you could say the same for the F1, even though it has to be one of the greatest 'supercars' of all time.
If money was no object I'd have one, but as that isn't the case, I think I'll keep my dreams closer to the ground.
The UR gets my vote

Mclaren can control just about every function on the car from base, and even remap the ignition for you. They could do a 'pay as you go' service for more power - '£10 gets you an extra 100BHP for 3 minutes' kind of thing
